The Kalasatama tram construction site is underway and is making progress. However, the fact that the city gas pipeline is at the same point where the waste pipeline should be moved, is now causing a slight challenge.
In practice, therefore, the gas pipeline must either be moved elsewhere or the waste pipeline installed deeper. These options are now being explored and, of course, efforts will be made, as far as possible, to find a solution that would be possible to keep us on schedule.
It is possible, unfortunately, that despite the efforts made, the interruption in the pipeline-based waste collection system may stretch to the beginning of June.
