Recently there has been a lot of improper waste in the recycling rooms that does not belong there.

Items to be recycled in the recycling room are glass, metal, large mixed waste (which does not fit through the hatch) and large cardboard.

Small trash bags belong to the pipeline-based waste collection system, not in the recycling room.

Reusable furniture, home appliances and small reusable items can be donated to the Helsinki Metropolitan Area Reuse Centre. The place for large waste items (such as mattresses and broken furniture) is the HSY Sortti-station.
