Register description

Once you register into the system, your data will be automatically transferred to a server managed and owned by Art and Design City Helsinki Oy. The server is located in locked, monitored technical premises and it is designated for and services. The registering information will be stored on a separate LDAP server which is accessed only to retrieve the data necessary to use the site. After the registering is complete, the data can be freely modified, added or removed.

Registration is required only for the websites’ Recycling Forum where you can place an ad for the purpose of recycling unnecessary items/furniture. The ad is valid for 30 days and will be closed automatically after that.

The web manager has the right to remove ’for sale’ ads and other ads with commercial nature from the Forum, and also delete any and all inappropriate messages.
Please keep in mind that the Internet is not a protected environment; take care not to disclose any information that – when made public – could cause you mental, financial or other type of damage.

Individual people will submit an e-mail address and a user name, when they register for the first time as Recycling Forum users.

The information will not be made available to a third party.

Exercising Rights
Every registered user has the right to know, what information related to him/her is contained in the database described in this register description. A user can access his/her information once in a calendar year for free. Request for access has to be submitted, in written form, to the person in charge of register affairs and the request has to be signed personally. The requested information will be provided in a written format and delivered via mail to the address designated by the user.

Register protection
Only certain employees of ADC and employees of companies working for ADC have the right to use the electronic service application. In the database, there are various user levels, which, as a consequence, means that the user receives the right to manage and browse only information which is relevant from the point of view of usage.

Removal of registered individuals
If a member of the service has not signed into the electronic service for six months, the web manager has the right to remove his/her user name from the system. Any member has the right to remove his/her own information from the register at all times.
